KhadiYah's Methodologies

KhadiYah Preciado, Herbal Educator at Yah’s Apothecary

Meet Your Mentor

KhadiYah Preciado is the founder of Yah's Apothecary and the creator of its educational methodology. Drawing from African herbal traditions, biblical principles, and years of independent study, she developed a curriculum that helps students move beyond memorizing herbs and toward understanding the body, recognizing patterns, and applying herbal knowledge with confidence.

Her goal isn't simply to teach herbs. It's to equip the next generation of herbalists with a way of thinking they can carry into every season of life.

"Let me tell you, if I lived near this woman, I would be following her around taking notes. She is a homesteading, homeschooling, homemaking wife and mother of two who also runs her own online store, teaches online workshops, she is an author and still manages to post YouTube videos on a weekly basis."

"KhadiYah has done a lovely job with this thorough book and modern take on African herbalism, which is particularly important considering how few references exist on this topic. It's loaded with useful and approachable information on many aspects of health and herbalism including helpful lists, charts, plant profiles, energetics, body systems, herbal therapeutics by plant color, remedy making, visuals, etc. It celebrates and empowers Black folks while also being approachable to others of different ancestries. Thank you, KhadiYah, for the tremendous work undertaken in bringing your book to a much needed and growing categories of herbals that will be appreciated by a wide audience. <3"
