Teach Your Family Herbalism is a hands-on, Biblical herbalism curriculum designed to help children do more than memorize which herb is “good for” what. We’re teaching them how to think like herbalists. Designed primarily for ages 7–12 and adaptable for younger and older children, this family-style curriculum uses real plants, experiments, nature study, herbal preparations, body-system studies, gardening, foraging, sensory exploration and research to help children understand the plants around them and begin building skills they can carry into adulthood. Your family will explore questions like: What happens when tea steeps for different amounts of time? Why is cinnamon bark while peppermint is a leaf? Why does watermelon feel different from hot, spicy foods? How do botanical families work? How did people study plants before herbal books existed? How can we investigate whether an herb is safe and appropriate? Enrollment includes approximately 24–30 lessons as the curriculum is completed, printable Student Herbalist pages, hands-on activities, materia medica studies, herbal safety, Biblical connections, younger/older adaptations, an Herbal Body Map, a final Young Herbalist Study and an optional Certificate of Completion track. Families may follow the suggested order or learn seasonally and at their own pace. This is the Founding Family Edition and will grow throughout the 2026–27 homeschool year, with the completed First Edition planned for spring/early summer 2027. Founding Families receive all First Edition lessons and updates at no additional charge. An optional Herbalist Supply Kit is also being developed with specialty herbs and materials used throughout the course. It is not included or required, and Founding Families will receive a discounted rate when it becomes available. Founding Family Price: $97 per household Future price: $147.
