Reviews
I am so grateful to Yah for instilling in Sister KahdiYah the vision to create a reference such as this. I am happy to own a copy, and it's a bonus as a hardback. This book helps to complete the series I have. I'm cautious about helping others who are on prescribed medication and mostly recommend lifestyle changes (food, eating habits, exercise, sun exposure etc. I recently had to use the book to help someone who has been suffering with kidney issues. The Plant & Pill book helped me to see what herbs are not safe to use with various prescribed medications. I want to safely help those who would like to restore their health and ultimately be weaned off of their medication with the help of their physician. The Herb Journal helps, but its important to have the interactions with medicine as well. and to have it all in one place helps tremendously. With this book, I have more confidence in how to pair certain herbs/food with prescribed medications. The best sections were 50 herb interactions reference list which lists the herbs they interact with, the why and warning signs to look for. I also thought it was a plus to have extra blank profiles for herbs and medications to fill out if needed. A big Thank you to Yah's Apothecary founder Sister KahdiYah for creating this resource. HalleluYah!
I cannot write enough about this most important book and the necessity of it!
First order for review - the author, Khadiyah Preciado, is very astute in detailing her process and journey in the writing of this book. Her introduction explained four levels of safety and four-step journey to concluding to the proper protocol, which I understood, is part of the genesis of Plant & Pill. As I continued to read, research and reference Plant & Pill, I was further astonished by the meticulous documenting on comparison and aversion of herb vs. modern medicine.
To complete, this book is practical application for any health practitioner, lay person, novice, herbal enthusiasts. This book is truly a must have! Khadiyah's God-inspired creativity allows her to include everything needed for her readers down to and including notes sections for notetakers to express their thoughts and ideas as they delve inside Plant & Pill.
My final thought, Plant & Pill is the new herbal bible of the 21st century!
My sincerest regards,
Clifford Allen
This is such a treasure for your herbal knowledge collection! It is a valuable addition to KhadiYah’s collection of books!
As someone trying to heal myself, this is valuable to me in some of the following ways:
1. I am able to easily look up prescribed medications and learn detailed info regarding the medication, such as risk type, recommendations and its potential interactions with various herbs. I find the info so helpful as I replace pharmaceuticals with herbs.
2. I also find the addition of detailed herb profiles a wonderful resource! This includes common drug examples associated with the herb! A great resource for those transitioning!🌱
The Plant and Pill will not disappoint and per the usual, KhadiYah has over delivered! I’m so happy to have this book!
