BEST DIY Bentonite Clay Deodorant Recipe

Making your own deodorant is pretty easy to do at home and you can make it with ingredients that are already in your kitchen. I crafted this recipe when I got fed up with trying to find a truly natural formula. Even the natural products had questionable ingredients, and with the under arm skin being so porous, I wasn't ready to take any chances!

WHY SHOULD YOU SWITCH TO ALL NATURAL DEODORANT? Here's what's probably in your deodorant!

Aluminum ("Aluminum based compounds in antiperspirants may be a risk factor for the development of breast cancer.")

Propylene Glycol ("a neurotoxin known to cause contact dermatitis, kidney damage, and liver damage")

An ingredient in many "natural" deodorants like Toms!

TEA & DEA ("They both could be toxic if absorbed into the body over a long period of time where DEA can cause liver and kidney damage and TEA can cause allergic reactions.") (**naturalcosmeticnews**)

This isn't even including the soybean oil, artificial colors and fragrances!

Benefits of the Ingredients I chose:

Evening Primrose can regulate hormonal imbalance. Evening Primrose oil is used to repair and heal skin, The GLA and fatty acid content in this oil is essential for skin health.

Geranium oil can help regulate oil production, improve elasticity, boost immunity, and heal broken capillaries.

Tea Tree oil has natural anti-fungal properties.

WHAT SHOULD YOU KNOW BEFORE SWITCHING TO ALL NATURAL DEODORANT?

For best results use only on freshly cleansed, groomed skin. If this is your first natural deodorant, it is recommended that you do a week long detox before using. You can either purchase a product for this, use lime juice only or go bare. We recommend using an exfoliating product (Sugar or Sea Salt Scrub) twice weekly while using this product so you can be sure to get all residue off.
